This June Military Scholarships post is part of my ongoing Military Scholarships series. The scholarship season is slowing down, but there are still opportunities available.

As with any other scholarship resource, verify eligibility, requirements and deadlines. We make every effort to ensure these listings are up-to-date, but we can’t guarantee it!

TREA Auxiliary Scholarship

Deadline: 1 June 2022
Description: Applicants for the Enlisted Association National Auxiliary Scholarship Program must be high school seniors, high school graduates, or current college students enrolled in a university, college, or technical school full time. Applicant must also have a parent or grandparent who is a member of TREA in good standing at the time of the application. There is an essay required!

Jewish War Veterans National Veteran Achievement

Deadline: 1 June 2022
Description:  Each year, the Jewish War Veterans of the USA sponsors an essay contest for current service members and veterans who plan to attend or are currently attending an accredited Associates, Bachelor’s, Nursing, or Graduate degree program.
Amount: Six grants ranging from $1,000-$5,000

Rees Veteran Program Spring

Deadline: 1 June 2022
Description: Applicants must be a veteran enrolled in an HVACR training program at an institutionally accredited school. There is an essay required!

Association of Former Intelligence Officers Scholarship

Deadline: 1 June 2022
Description: Unlike many organizations, applicants for this scholarship do not need to be a member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO). Undergraduate applicants must be entering their senior year, and graduate students must apply no later than their second year of graduate school studies.

LendLease Housing Neighborhoods

Deadline: 1 June 2022
Description: Applicants for the LendLease BlueStar Scholarships must be a high school senior who plans to enroll in a university, college, or technical school full time with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Applicant must also be a dependent of active duty or retired service member and reside in a Lendlease privatized community.
Amount: $5,000

Society of the 1st ID Huebner Scholarship

Deadline: 1 June 2022
Description: High school seniors who are the children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren of soldiers who have served in the First Infantry Division of the United States Army, as well as children of active-duty soldiers of the division, are eligible to compete for these scholarships. There is an essay required!

Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Loans and Grants

Deadline: 3 June 2022
Description: Offers interest-free loans and grants for undergraduate/post-secondary education at an accredited 2- or 4-year education, technical or vocational institution in the United States. This financial assistance is available for children of active duty, retired or deceased Sailors and Marines; and for spouses of active duty and retired Sailors and Marines.

Sink Law Veterans and Military Family Scholarships

Deadline: 15 June 2022
Description: The South Carolina Law Firm of George Sink, PA, specializing in injury law, recognizes military families with a scholarship for undergraduate and graduate education. Active duty service members, veterans, or dependents of active duty or retired service members are eligible. High school seniors and graduates as well as undergraduate and graduate students may apply. There is an essay required!

Cape Canaveral MOAA

Deadline: 15 June 2022
Description: Applicant must be a full-time college junior, senior, or 1st year graduate student, and must be a legal resident of Brevard County, FL or descendant of a member of the Cape Canaveral MOAA, as well as being a military dependent.

Pensacola MOAA 

Deadline: 15 June 2022
Description: Applicant must be a resident of the area served by the Pensacola Chapter (Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties of Florida and South Baldwin County, Alabama) or dependent of a resident living in these areas. Applicant must also have completed at least one year of education at a college or university with a 3.5 (undergraduate) GPA. There is an essay required!

Navy Enlisted Reserve Association

Deadline: 17 June 2022
Description: NERA/USAA College Scholarship Program recognizes the service to the United States and sacrifices by Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard Reserve. Applicant must have an overall GPA of 3.0 and be a member, or be sponsored by a member (as spouse, child, or grandchild) of the NERA. There is an essay required!

US Naval Cryptologic Veterans Association

Deadline: 30 June 2022
Description: Each year, the U.S. Naval Cryptologic Veterans Association offers scholarships to graduating high school students sponsored by Association members. This deadline applies for digital applications and mailed submissions, so if you’re going the snail mail route, send it in early!
Amount: Three scholarships in the amounts of $3000, $2500, and $2000

NYS Higher Education Service Corporation

Deadline: 30 June 2022
Description: The Military Enhanced Recognition Incentive and Tribute (MERIT) Scholarship provides financial aid to children, spouses, and financial dependents of members of the United States Armed Forces or state-organized militia who, at any time on or after August 2, 1990, while New York State residents, died or became severely and permanently disabled while performing their military duties, whether in combat or not.

USS Little Rock Association Captain Kent R. Seigel Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: 30 June 2022
Description:  Applicant must be the direct descendants of those who served on USS Little Rock, providing that the veteran sponsor is a member of the Association in good standing, or was at the time of death in the case of those now deceased. Similar financial assistance is available to direct descendants of those currently serving in the crews of Little Rock LCS 9, providing that the sponsor is a member of the Association in good standing. Must have a CUM GPA of 3.0 and may apply during the spring semester of their second academic year. There is an essay required!

Army Engineer Association

Deadline: 30 June 2022
Description:  The Army Engineer Association (AEA) offers seven scholarships that provide financial assistance to members and family members of AEA. Scholarship deadlines vary, the MG Leif J. Sverdrup Scholarship, CSM Robert W. Elkey Scholarship, and Mr. Saul Horowitz Scholarship applications are due in June.

Navy SEAL Foundation

Deadline: 30 June 2022
Description: SEAL or SWCC active duty service members and veterans can apply for this scholarship offered by the Navy SEAL Foundation. Scholarship opportunities include one to four-year grants for education, vocational, certificate and leadership programs across both undergraduate and graduate courses of study. Check the individual scholarships for application details, and check for spouse and dependent scholarships in January. There is an essay required!
