Of particular note is that two of the November military scholarships are only for the military members/veterans themselves, not family members. That’s unusual!
Virginia Military Survivors & Dependents Education
Deadline: 01 November 2026 for Spring 2027
Description: The Virginia Military Survivors & Dependents Education (VMSDEP) state program provides up to eight academic semesters, equal to four years of education benefits at Virginia’s public colleges and universities to spouses and children of military service members who were: killed, missing in action, taken prisoner, or who have been rated by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs as totally and permanently disabled or at least 90 percent permanently disabled as a result of military service.
Note: This program has been threatened in the past and may not remain the same into the future. Please do a lot of research before making any decisions based on this funding.

Ehline Law Military Vets Scholarship
Deadline: 15 November 2026
Description: Scholarship is open to honorably-discharged military veterans who are enrolled in an accredited Law Office Study Program, or Law School, such as a judge’s chambers, law school, or other university.
Amount: $1,000
VFW/Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship
Deadline: 15 November 2026
Description: Applicant must be a citizen of the United States, retired or honorably discharged veteran, active duty or member of the National Guard or reserve with a rank of E-5 or below. They must demonstrate a need for financial assistance and participate in, be accepted to, or currently enrolled in, a VA-approved program or school at an accredited post-secondary institution.

The Behan Law Group Military Veteran Scholarship
Deadline: 23 November 2026
Description: Eligible to apply if you are a U.S. military veteran, active duty service member in the U.S. military, or the child of a veteran and currently enrolled in or have been accepted to an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university or college in the U.S.
Amount: $1,000

AFCEA War Veterans Scholarship
Deadline: it’s unclear to me, it was in November in previous years
Description: Available to active duty in the uniformed military services and honorably discharged U.S. military veterans (including Reservists and National Guard personnel) who deployed abroad in support of one of the Overseas Contingency Operations (Operation Enduring Freedom; Operation Iraqi Freedom; Operation New Dawn; Operation Inherent Resolve; Operation Freedom’s Sentinel).
Recipients must be currently enrolled and attending classes in an undergraduate program part-time or full-time in an eligible STEM major degree program at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S (see eligibility section paragraph 4 for list of acceptable STEM majors).

AFCEA Oracle Women in Leadership Scholarship
Deadline: unclear, last year it was in November
Description: “Oracle Women in Leadership seeks to recognize one outstanding student who shows potential to excel in college STEM studies by awarding a one-time, $1,500 scholarship to a deserving female active-duty military college student pursuing a STEM degree.”

AFCEA Susan Lawrence Soldier for Life Scholarship
Deadline: unclear, last year it was in November
Description: “The Susan Lawrence Soldier for Life Scholarship is established by our CEO LTG Susan S. Lawrence, USA (Ret.). LTG Lawrence graduated from Campbell University while enlisted at Fort Bragg. This was a huge part of LTG Lawrence’s military journey, and she is honored to give back and continue her legacy here at AFCEA through this scholarship fund. One $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to a Campbell University student pursuing a STEM degree. Applicants must also have served as an enlisted soldier at Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg.)”
